Tuesday

Today we took the chapter 19 test/quiz. After the test, we worked on the following items.
1. Be sure you have read all of chapter 20
2. Be sure you have completed the chapter 20 study guide.
3. Complete the following questions from the book: (Page - Questions)
  • Pg. 568 - 2, 4
  • Pg. 574 - 4B
  • Pg. 583 - 3
  • Pg. 588 - 1, 3, 4
  • Pg. 590 - 1 - 10
I will not be in class tomorrow due to a death in the family. The assignment for class will be on the board and will be to complete the worksheets that I have prepared for the class. Make sure that all of the information is complete upon my return on Thursday. We will have a vocabulary test on Friday.

Monday

Today we covered the remaining sections of chapter 19. Tomorrow is the quiz date over the chapter. Please be sure to look over all definitions and the following court cases. These cases will be on the quiz in one form or another.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back! I hope that you had a nice break and enjoyed the snow that we received on Friday night. We will begin this week by working on chapters 19 and 20. We will discuss the rights and liberties that you have in the United States and how the Constitution protects you each and every day. Below you will find the study guides for chapters 19 and 20. In class today we completed these study guides and read chapter 19.

Tuesday

Be prepared for the quiz over chapter 4 on Thursday.
Chapter 4 - Thus far we have covered the chapter in theis manner:
  • Monday - we checked chapter 4 study guide questions 1-14
  • Tuesday - We tok a quick 5 question quiz over the definitions covered in class on Monday. Today we also covered the remainder of section 1 and part of section 2 in chapter 4. Be sure that you have completed the questions from the study guide as we go through them.

Friday

Today the class turned in the graphic organizers form Thursday. Each student then received a study guide to complete in class. The study guide is attached below. Questions 1-14 should be complete for Monday.

NO TEST FRIDAY!!!

We will not be testing on chapter #3.
Today in class we created three graphic organizers for the chapter. One organizer for each section in chapter three. The organizer titles are :
  • The six principles of government - be sure to add two descriptors to each principle.
  • The formal amendment process - do not copy the one in the book.
  • Informal amendment changes ( interpretatioins)

Be sure that you learn the Preamble for Wednesday. We will have a quiz on the Preamble and chapter 3section 2 before the test on Thursday.
