It's Friday

We took our test over chapter 10 yesterday and then began work on chapter 11. Because the pep rally went a little longer than expected, we changed classwork today. We worked on the vocabulary from chapter 11 sections 2 and 3 and completed the study guide questions 9, 10, and 11. We now should have the following complete for lecture next week:

• Vocabulary from sections 1, 2, and 3 of chapter 11.
• Questioins 1-11 on chapter 11 study guide.

Test Tomorrow!

Do not forget that we will test over chapter 10 tomorrow. Today in class we took a few minutes to look at the last couple of questions on the study guide and review information from the last few days. I handed out a crossword puzzle as review and allowed the class to work on that for the last few minutes of class.

Monday

Today we completed the first three questions from the study guide for chapter 10. Tonight you should be sure to finish questions 4 - 16 on the study guide. You may omit questions 7, 8, and 9. The study guide is located on the blog from the Friday post. Test Thursday!

Friday Test

Today we took the test covering chapters 7, 8, and 9. After the test, the assignment was to complete the vocabulary for chapter 10 sections 1 and 2 and then to complete questions 1, 2, and 3 on the study guide. Attached is the study guide for chapter 10.

Wednesday

Today we worked on the chapter 8 and 9 worksheets. Tomorrow we will go over the sheets and review anything that you are not sure about. Remember that the test over 7, 8, and 9 will be Friday. Attached below is the graphic summaries for chapters 8 and 9.

            

Monday and Tuesday

Today we took a small quiz over chapter 7. After the quiz we covered material from chapter 8 on public opinion. Be sure that you have finished the study guide for chapters 7, 8, and 9. Remember that there is a test over those chapters on Friday.

Friday

Vocabulary quiz today and we checked the chapter 6 vocab. After the test, each student was to copy the study guide and begin chapters 7, 8, and 9. The study guide is below:

Wednesday

Be sure that you are studying on your own over chapters 5 and 6. We can't go through every word in the book during class so remember that you need to read on your own. Today we covereed chapter 5 and began section one of chapter 6.

Tuesday

Today we covered section 1 and most of section 2 of chapter 5. Tomorrow we will cover the rest of chapter 5 and start chapter 6. Remember the vocab quiz for Friday. I am going to have to change some of the information placed on the blog. I had hoped that this information would be useful to some but after a comment today about not taking notes and just waiting until the review was posted, I will have to reduce the amount of information that I place on the blog. I will still place the daily information there but the students will have to pay close attention in class when we cover material. I feel as though I am spoon feeding and the only thing they will learn is the shape of the spoon.

Not a good day!

Sorry for the late post today but I had to leave school early due to not feeling well. I will make this short and sweet so I can get back to bed before my head rolls off my shoulders. Today the students were assigned all of the vocabulary form chapters 5 and 6. They were also to complete the section 5 study sheet. Many of the items on the study sheet are vocab but they are to ID the items that are not vocab. I am hoping to  be back tomorrow but I am making no promises right now.

For those who missed the test on Friday, you must make the test up tomorrow. I will have the test ready for Coach Richey to give to you if I am not there. Be sure to study. Your final grade is not correct right now.

The final grades are now posted on I-Parent. Understand that this is a semester course and in order to get  credit they must have a 70 avg consisting of the 1st and 2nd 9 weeks plus the final exam. I will be sitting down in the next few days with the students that are not performing well in class so that we can get off on the proper path for the second nine weeks.

Tuesday

Today we took a quiz over 19-3-4. We then reviewed all that we have talked about for the last few classes and moved into chapter 20. Attached is the summary for 20-1. Remember that the test for 19 and 20 will be on Friday the 9th.

Thursday, Friday, Monday

The past few days we have covered chapter 19. We finished chapter 19 today and began chapter 20. Attached below is a group of questions for chapter 20. The homework assignment for tonight is to read sections 1 and 2 of chapter 20. I will assign the questions either for classwork or homework Tuesday. Be sure to study in advance for the test which will be Friday. Remember that Friday is the last day of the nine weeks and the grades will be ready and final on Tuesday.
