GREAT JOB TODAY!

Congrats on a great day in class today! Usually on Friday class tends to drag on but today was a good day for the Articles of confederation. We completed the tree map and started the introduction to the Constitutional Convention. If you were out today, we finished through question #16 on the study guide. When we return Monday, we will finish the study guide and review for the Tuesday test.

BE SURE YOU ARE STUDYING FOR THE TEST! - chapter 2 sections 3, 4, and 5.

Thursday

Today we covered section 3 of chapter 2 in government. We discussed the Articles of Confederation and worked on the tree map. I talked to the classes about doing their best work and completing homework on time. We have to many folks just not completing work. If I send work home to be done over night, we will do something with it the very next day. Please make sure that all work is being completed and that you are studying for upcoming test.

Quiz Day

Sorry I have not posted since last week. I will try and do a better job of getting the information up on the web by 6:00 p.m. each day.

Today we completed the quiz covering the colonies and the Declaration of Independence. After the quiz, the assignment was to complete questions 10 -21 on the study guide for chapter 2. Be sure that you have those items complete for class on Thursday.

Test Day

I will have the test graded this evening and in the computer tomorrow morning. Remember the assignment that is due tomorrow:

• Read chapter 2 sections 1 and 2 (pgs. 28-39)
• Complete the vocabulary form Chapter 2 sections 1 and 2.

For tomorrow we will attempt to answer the following qustions:

• What basic concepts of government were held by American colonists?

• Which important English documents have had the most influence on our government?

• How were the governments of the thirteen colonies organized?

I apologize for not having the PowerPoint up and working. I ran into a few glitches and could not get the information up in a reasonable amount of time. I will work to get this ironed out for the next test.

We Have Survived One

We have survived the 1st week of school and must now get down to the job at hand. Due to the illness of one of my children, I was unable to attend classes today. The assignment while I am away consist of the following items:

• Completion of sections 2 and 3 worksheets.


• Completion of sections 1 and 2 quiz.


• Completion of the vocab questions on pg.24 in the book. (1-10)

Do not forget about our Chapter 1 test on Wednesday!
